I got this in Guam. MAC is cheaper there so I didn’t feel guilty about buying it. What I love about this lipstick is that despite its seemingly scary deep red hue, it’s actually wearable for everyday use and not as overwhelming as it looks on the tube. It gives a muted berry shade if you build it up sparingly enough.
My only con about it is its staying power, it only lasts for about an hour or so (at least for me). Other than that, I’ve no complains. I love it!
MAC lipsticks are definitely good buys. However, due to the steep price, I don’t think I’ll be buying another one anytime soon, except maybe if I find more unique shades like Diva. ;)

I recently rediscovered my Mom’s diet book from her younger years while I was cleaning my room. It’s so old and dusty, but timely indeed. My road to healthy living is still on-going and this definitely will be nice read. It’s already brittle and yellowing pages feel nostalgic.

“From baby fat to bikinis…” « Yes please! :>

Some healthy tips from the book.
So cute of my mom to keep stuff from her “teenage” years and pass them on to me and my sister. Aside from this book, I also have her old beauty tips manual, her leopard-print bathing suit (which doesn’t fit me BOO), and some of her old evening bags. I hope I could do the same for my future kids. ;)

I wish we had Urban Decay here. They have the best eyeshadows. The palettes I have here were gifts from my Mom’s friend, Tita Cecile. I’m not yet an expert on doing eye looks though. I just experiment once in a while at home (with the help of Youtube videos ;) ) . My favorite is Xteeener, such a sweet and humble makeup guru. She’s super pretty too.
Here’s one of my favorite tutorials of hers:
